Target your presentation slides for when your audience sees them

Leveraging slides in a presentation, pitch, or meeting can help your audience better understand and remember your points, but too often our slides distract our audience. Rather than creating useful slides that reveal just what is needed by our audience in the moment, we create a document with too many words and bullet points.

If you are providing a slide deck as a pre-read prior to your communication or as a leave behind, then you should craft a different deck from what you present in the moment. You must target your slides for when your audience sees them.
